Just Add Ink Challenge

I just love VINTAGE and the everlasting memories that it brings....those to cherish of an era gone bye.... So here's my take of vintage for the JAI challenge. This is an absolutely gorgeous photo of my children's great grand parent Kevin and Gladys Mulcahy on their wedding day in the 1930's..... Look at the detail of Nana Glad's wedding gown and veil.

First of all, I dyed the pretties flower with baja breeze ink, let it dry and stamped over the whole flower with French Script in close to cocoa. The clear button has been inked with white staz on and the diamond background stamp (looks like spring) and then threaded some chocolate chip ribbon through the two holes. The lace on the side of the board is from my stash along with most of the buttons except the baja breeze. The chocolate ruffled ribbon is retired ribbon original and the the DSP has been torn, sponged and layered to created an aged looked that ties in with the photo of Nan and Pop.
I have used a dymo gun to type out Mr and Mrs Mulcahy which has been sponged in baja breeze and close to cocoa. The scalloped edge tag behind the photo also has more dymo labels which have our gran parent's full names, so that our children will be able to know a bit more about their family. The love sediment was created using my circuit. Hopefully the rest of my creation is self explanatory otherwise let me know.....
Be sure to pop over to JAI(www.justaddink.blogspot.com/) to check all the other fantastic entries.
Oh, Courtney is still alive and made it to 15 LOL!!!

Just Add Ink Challenge

Back with another challenge from Just Add Ink, which is also a card for my daughters birthday next week. But then again, she might not make it to her 15th birthday LOL!!! The ATTITUDE and FLOOR ROBE is unbelievable at the moment but I do LOVE her to bits. Apart from the phrase she's going through at the moment, Courtney really is a beautiful young lady and has a lot to offer.

Anyway back to the challenge, be sure to check out the other entries at http://www.justaddink.com/ or even add an entry yourself. I love the colour scheme this week, with kiwi kiss, chocolate chip and barely banana.

I thought I would give the water colour crayons a go. I love the effect and the simplicity of the end result. I coloured the Medallion stamp with chocolate chip, summer sun and old olive crayons. Once I was happy with the colour on the stamp I spritz the stamp lightly with water to make the crayon bleed on the stamp before stamping onto the barely banana card stock.
I used chocolate chip card stock as a matt and a co-ordinating flower brad for the centre of the stamped medallion. Chocolate chip ribbon was used to create the bow before putting together on a kiwi kiss card base.
Well wish Courtney luck over the next week, no I'm only joking and I'll be back with some birthday pics.
So until next time....take care

I had another play with my Bigshot and Top Note die and came up with these cute little bags. So far I have made 30 of these as a start for swaps at convention. So if you are there, you may be able to get you hands on.

A close up of the two step bird punch that is available in the new mini catalogue and the gorgeous rich razzleberry card stock that Stampin Up has brought out as a new in colour....

Another angle of the little bag. Hope you like it.

Any way until next time....

Hello Everyone,

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter and enjoyed some yummy chocolates over the weekend. I really had to laugh yesterday, my two children 14 and 11 could not wait for their Easter egg hunt. When it was over they asked if I could hide them again so that they could have another hunt, you would think that at their age they would not be interested but the opposite and could not get enough. Both of my scally waggs relished the moment while I sat back and laughed at the urgency to find all of those eggs hidden in our front garden.

Here is a card that I made for one of my friends using my embossing folders and clear window sheets. I just love the clear cards...

A big thank you to Stampin Up for bring out the Bigshot to Australia and all those dies. I just LOVE them. Here is a card that I made use the scallop circle die, the new vintage vogue clear stamps and cottage wall DS paper. The new rich razzleberry ink is just divine as you can see here.....

I have had so much fun with all the new items available in the new mini Autumn-Winter catalogue, be sure to have a look.
So until next time.....
