Live your dream.......

Just a quick post.....

I just love this photo of Courtney but then again it is a bit scary that my little girl is growing up fast. I will just have to keep the doors locked.....LOL, good luck as my mum says.

I used more of the afternoon tea paper, a 12 x 12 piece of textured wild wasabi, matching ink and striped grosgrain ribbon. Layered the oval punches and a styled silver brad from the new hodgepodge hardware and attached to the photo mat which is also textured in basic black.

After stamping random flowers and butterflies I added a bit of glitter to the centre of the flowers and buttlerflies, some are cutout and stamped directly onto the cardstock.

Well I am going now to do a layout of Jacob so that I can put these up on my family room wall to admire. Oh I also forgot I did not take these photos. We had our family photo done last year by Snowgum Studio just outside of Canberra. Leonie does beautiful photos, check out her website, www.snowgumstudio.com.au.

So until next time.....

All bagged up........

I have had so much fun putting this cute little handbag together. It is cased from Jan Tink's blog and she has so much more that I will be trying out from her blog.

The new carousel notes from the mini summer catalogue have so much use, not only for cards but off the page projects as well. I have also used chocolate chip taffeta ribbon for the handle and stitching through the carousel flap to give the handbag album more dimension. The crop a dile was very useful with getting all the holes evenly spaced around the carousel note. I also used the yummy 'Afternoon Tea' designer series paper throughout the album with chocolate chip and in colour papers that co-ordinate with this range of papers too.

Here is the inside of the album.....

Isn't she just BEAUTIFUL, those blue eyes and dimples, they get me every time she does the crawling or sweet talking thing to get her own way.

This is the centre fold of the handbag, I am yet to journal on it as I am not sure if I am going to give this as gift or keep it for myself.

This is my other darling, he has such a caring and gentle nature for everyone and loves lots of cuddles. The little title of dream big suites him to a tee as he always comes out with the most beautiful things.

Here is one of the carousel notes with both Courtney and Jacob together.....I love this moment as it usually doesn't happen very often...."boy germs" is the usual remark I receive...

And here is my darling hubby, Andrew and I.....

The altered carousel notes slide behind the pages that have been attached to the envelopes.....

Had better go and do the dishes, so until next time, hopefully tomorrow with a page layout......

How Busy have I been.................

Well I have been ran off my feet lately and can not wait until everything returns to normal but what's normal???

I think I am feeling it because of the relaxing holiday I had at Christmas, I was very spoilt.

So what has been happening in my life lately.....
  • I started a new position at work and love it....

  • Our beloved malamute 'Sasha' got out because Jacob left the gate open and he tackled her. In the process, put his top tooth through his bottom lip.... as she was heading up the driveway.....
  • Two days after the dog incident, Jacob's lip became infected and his BGL's went through the roof (22.4). We had two trips to the Doctors and some antibiotics on the second visit as the infection was not clearing up.....

  • Adopted a cute kitten we named 'Claws', he is almost 7 weeks now and doesn't he have the life....

  • Jacob had his 10th birthday last Friday.....

  • Mum and Dad came from Griffith last weekend for Jacob's birthday.....

  • I held the screen door open with my heal for Claws to come out the front with me and when I went to move my foot, the door some how ripped my heal open, blood everywhere. The piece of skin that I removed from the door was a bit gross but I'm on the mend now.....
Anyway, things could be worse and it's the long weekend yeah!!!! I will be back with some of my latest creations over the weekend, so until then....

Embrace Life.....everyday!

I think this stamps set is so yummy that when I return it to it's rightful owner(maybe not lol), my up line Kim( http://paper-artsy.blogspot.com/), I will have to buy one for myself.

I used the embrace life stamp set, in colour ribbon and ink, aqua pen to water colour the flowers from the lid of the ink pad, river rock and confetti card stock, ginger blossoms designer paper and a w/white envelope. Oh and I almost forgot from my stash, a love heart brad for the cutout flower.

All of the products are the same except I used ruby red ink.

Well I have left my blogging a bit late tonight and had better get to bed as I have a meeting at work in the morning. So nite nite and will chat soon.....

What a lovely holiday

Hello fellow bloggers, I'm back from holidays and ready to face another year or at least I feel re-freshed anyway lol!!. I have posted some of our holiday pics to show you guys what a great place the Upper Murray Holiday Resort is, You should check out their website at www.umhr.com.au , the only thing I recommend is that you pack all of you own food etc as the local corner stores are a bit on the expensive side when you are use to shopping for groceries in a city, apart from that it was just so enjoyable and hope to go back next Christmas - fingers crossed....
This was the view that we woke up to every morning.....
This is the Murray River at Walwa (5mins drive from our cabin) where the kids went swimming and fishing......

A Crimson Rosella about 2 meters away from the front of our cabin.....

A little Blue Wren that I literately chased all day to get the best photo, oh how I could of brought him home. He had a beautiful song that he sang.......

The same little wren.....

These would have to be my favourite, absolutely beautiful, King Parrots. I was able to get so close, about 1 meter away and every morning and afternoon they came in to feed. This one was of a male......

This was of a female King Parrot.....

This was of mum and her babies.....

A close up of Mr Blue Wren.....

And he he is again.....

As you can see I love our native birds. If you wish to see them in more detail just double click on the photo. I hope to be back tomorrow with some cards so until then......
